MARK K. HOLDSWORTH
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Mr. Holdsworth (age 58) is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of The Holdsworth Group, LLC (“THG”). THG is a principal investor in a variety of investment categories such as real estate, public and private equities, credit, and other alternative investments sourced by the Firm. THG also advises other family offices and companies on investment strategy and general business issues. Mr. Holdsworth is the Chairman and co-CIO of THG Securities Fund, L.P., a vehicle open to outside investors that invests in publicly-traded securities such as stocks, bonds, convertible debt, options, and preferred shares.
Mr. Holdsworth was formerly a Co-Founder, Managing Partner and Operating Partner of Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC (“TCP”), a Los Angeles-based private investment firm that had approximately $9.0 billion of capital under management when it was acquired by BlackRock, Inc. in 2018. Mr. Holdsworth has extensive experience investing in the equity or debt of companies in transition in a variety of industries.
He is the former Chairman of TCP’s Investment Committee and the former CEO of several of TCP’s funds.
Mr. Holdsworth is a graduate of Pomona College with a B.A. in Physics, the California Institute of Technology with a B.S. (Honors) in Engineering and Applied Science, and the Harvard Business School.
He currently serves as a Director of Parsons Corporation, (NYSE: PSN) a publicly-traded worldwide engineering and digitally-enabled solutions provider focused on the defense, security and critical infrastructure markets. He is also the Chairman of RF Industries, Ltd. (NASDAQ: RFIL) a public company that manufactures cabling and connectors for the telecom industry and a member of the Board of Directors of PlantsExpress.com, an online plant and tree provider.
Mr. Holdsworth is a former National Trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and he is the former Chairman of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Chair’s Council at Caltech. He is also the Chairman of The First Tee of Greater Pasadena and a Trustee of Polytechnic School in Pasadena.
ZACHARY D. LEVENICK
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Prior to joining THG, Mr. Levenick was a Principal of Taconic Capital Partners, LP (“Taconic”), a multi-billion dollar New York-based private investment firm. Mr. Levenick co-managed the firm’s London-based European operations and was Portfolio Manager for European Equities investing, where focus areas included consumer products, retail, and general industries. He also established and oversaw Taconic’s public and private investment efforts in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina, where focus areas included education and logistics. While at Taconic, Mr. Levenick also developed extensive experience in special situations and cross-asset class investing. Mr. Levenick spent 18 years at Taconic, after joining the firm in 2002 as a research associate. Prior to his career at Taconic, Mr. Levenick worked at J.P. Morgan in investment banking.
Mr. Levenick is a former Director of Barnes and Noble Education (NYSE: BNED).
Mr. Levenick graduated from Harvard College magna cum laude with a degree in History and Literature (Medieval). He resides with his family in Southern California. They support a number of educational, outdoor, and local philanthropies in the US and UK.
